Dorah Clara Ojenge, also known as Mishi Dorah, has been charged with getting credit under false pretenses in court.
Dorah is accused of ordering Sh3,000 worth of chicken, a cocktail worth Sh2,000, a bottle of water worth Sh400, three energy drinks totaling Sh1,650, and two sodas at Sh500 at the Kibera Law Courts.
According to court documents, the actress also ordered Belaire Luxe (750ml) worth Sh75,000 and seven bottles of Hennessy VS (750ml) worth Sh70,000.
When it came time to pay, however, the actress claimed her bank was having problems, and her attempts to collect the money from her house were unsuccessful because she was unable to collect any after claiming she could.
Dorah pledged to pay the amount by Monday but failed to do so, and when her phone calls went unanswered, the club’s management was forced to denounce her to the police.
Dorah’s attorney, on the other hand, pleaded with the court to release his client on bond, claiming that she was not a flight risk, a request that Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Monica Maroro granted.
The actress was released on Sh100,000 bail, and the matter will be heard on June 16.
