Oscar Sudi’s former teacher embarrasses him in court, says he completed studies in class 7

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi’s former primary school teacher has told the court that he doesn’t know where he went after leaving the school in Class Seven.

In testimony before the court on Wednesday, Simon Cherop, the legislator’s mathematics instructor at Tulwopng’etuny Primary School in Uasin Gishu County, stated that Sudi attended school for two years starting in 1995.

The Milimani Court Magistrate Felix Kombo was informed that Sudi had only attended the school for Classes Six and Seven and had previously gone by the name Kipchumba Kipletich.

“Did you teach Sudi?” Cherop was asked by the prosecution, to which he said: “Yes. I taught him Maths in classes 6 and 7.”

Mr. Cherop stated that although Sudi actively participated in the games, he did not finish his education at the institution.

He claimed to have no knowledge of Sudi’s secondary education plans or where he continued his elementary schooling after graduating.

In a current case where the politician is suspected of falsifying academic qualifications, the teacher had been brought back to address a few questions.

The MP was absent from the hearing on Wednesday, but the court permitted the case to go through since Sudi, according to his attorneys, was working on the team preparing for President-elect William Ruto’s inauguration next week.

Sudi is accused of fabricating a KCSE degree that he claims he took, as well as a Diploma in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
