Needy Form one student dies in unclear circumstances a few weeks after joining school

A Precious Blood Kagwe Girls High School Form One student died under unknown circumstances only a few weeks after starting the school.

Unknown circumstances led to Elizabeth’s death at Kagwe Girls High School. Elizabeth died just days after returning to secondary school following the midterm break.

Ndungu Nyoro, a philanthropist whose Affecto organization supported the girl to enroll in Form One at the Lari-based school, disclosed the tragic news of Elizabeth’s death while also accusing the school of a cover-up.

The school administration claimed that the young student hurt herself, according to Nyoro’s social media posting, however their hypothesis on how the kid died does not line up.

“We have looked at the scenarios and disputed. The DCI seem to have a specific angle of investigation but we have refused,” he said.

The philanthropist who sponsors needy children in high schools claimed that Kagwe had declined to show them the scene of the incident or even the mortuary.

“Just showing partial photos. They even had a version changed after we questioned the practicability of what they were claiming,” a heartbroken Nyoro alleged.

He said he was crushed after learning of the death of the young girl saying after midterm, she went to Affecto offices and thanked the organisation for sponsoring her education.

“She was very happy about her school. She thanked our team for making it happen for her. She only complained of congestion where three streams had occupied the school’s dining hall making it difficult to hear what teachers were teaching. But she liked the school. She even requested for some revision books,” he said.
