Oscar Sudi, Kapseret’s Member of Parliament, celebrated his daughter Faith Chemutai’s academic achievement by presenting her with an apartment and a car, a gesture of deep appreciation for her hard work and respect, evoking tears of emotion from the graduate.
“Nilikwambia nitakupatia pahali pa kuanzia maisha. Si nimekununulia gari? So, I will give your apartment, sasa wewe tembea, kwa sababu ya heshima,” Sudi expressed, delivering his heartfelt sentiments during the ceremony.
In an attempt to lighten the mood, Sudi joked throughout his speech and advised prospective suitors to be wary of approaching his daughter.
“Mimi nim kora na nilimwambia akuwe mkora kunishinda, watu wasipite hapo katikati. Ukikuja next time uniambie uko na boyfriend, I have no issue with you. Uzuri wa pesa na bidii, … unaanza mambo swafi. Ukiamua leo uniambie umepata mtu, I am ready,” Sudi remarked.
Sudi took to social media to share the momentous occasion, posting images from the graduation ceremony and accompanying them with a heartfelt caption.
“It has been an arduous journey for my daughter Faith Chemutai throughout her academic life. She just graduated with a Masters Degree in Finance Management from the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom. Friends, family, and neighbors joined us today as we celebrate her success story at home, Kapseret,” Sudi wrote.
The celebratory atmosphere was further elevated when Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge made a surprise appearance at the graduation party.
Kipchoge, known for his extraordinary feats on the track, presented Sudi with a thoughtful and unexpected gift – a brand-new pair of Nike sneakers.
