Kenyans Asked to Donate Sheep for Uhuru’s Northland Farm After loss

On April 15, former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Northlands farm hosted a tree-planting event where Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni urged Kenyans to donate sheep and goats.

In an interview with Kenyans.co.ke, Kioni stated that the party’s supporters had massively contacted them to support the request and donate their animals.

Kioni pointed out that the action was more of a show of support for the previous President than an attempt to try to bring the missing animals back.

“We have requested Kenyans to donate goats and sheep and you would be surprised by the number of people who are willing to provide them – not that they can replace the 1,000 animals that were slaughtered but just to let you know the way things are done,” Kioni affirmed.

Adding:

“The meeting happened on Sunday, March 26, at a Cabinet Secretary’s residence. We know the elected leaders who took part in that meeting under the guidance of their party leader. This is something we know,” Kioni alleged.

He observed that the former head of state remained active in politics and continued to serve as chairman of the Azimio council.

“Uhuru stated that he was retired but not tired. It would be an act of irresponsibility for any leader of his experience to just sit idle without having any concern for a country that he led for 10 years.

“Whatever point he thinks he will come out and offer some advice, I’m sure he will. If Raila reached out to some advice, he could not withhold,” he noted.
