The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the 2025 recruitment of General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets, Specialist Officers, and Tradesmen/Women.
In a statement from the Defence Headquarters – Ulinzi House, KDF announced that shortlisted candidates are required to report for interviews and selection exercises at designated centers on specific dates in November and December 2025.
According to the notice:

GSO Cadet (Regular) candidates will report to the Kenya Military Academy, Lanet – Nakuru, on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

GSO Cadet (Graduate) candidates are expected at the same location on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

Specialist Officers will attend interviews at the Kenya Military Academy on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

Tradesmen and Women will report to the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Lang’ata – Nairobi, on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
Candidates are instructed to carry their original national ID, academic and professional certificates, CV, and four copies of each. KDF confirmed that food and accommodation will be provided, and unsuccessful applicants will receive travel reimbursements as per military regulations.
The notice also carried a strong warning against bribery and corruption, emphasizing that the KDF recruitment process is free, fair, and open to all qualified Kenyans.
“Engaging in bribery or any form of corruption to influence the recruitment process is a criminal offence. Any person found culpable will be arrested and prosecuted,” the statement read.
The public has been encouraged to report any recruitment malpractices through the provided hotline numbers 0726 419 706 / 0726 419 709, or to the nearest police station or military camp.
The KDF reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining integrity, transparency, and professionalism in its recruitment process as it seeks to bring on board disciplined, skilled, and patriotic Kenyans ready to serve their country.
