Cute! Justice Joel Ngugi’s sons run to pose for a photo with President Ruto

Six judges appointed by President William Ruto have been finally sworn in at State House today on Wednesday, as overseen by Ruto at State House.

Ruto appointed the six judges on Monday after his inauguration ceremony.

He appointed Korir Kipyegon, Muchelule Otsyula, Odunga Vincent and Joel Ngugi. He had also appointed two other judges Makori Evans of Environment and Elizabeth Omange of Land Court.

During the photo session, judge Joel Ngugi’s children stole the show after running to be enjoined in the photo.

Ruto had this to say during the event:

“We have challenges in the time taken to concluded corruption and commercial cases, I request the Judiciary to support our administration in ensuring that corruption, commercial and land cases are adjudicated and concluded in a timely manner,” Ruto said.

He added, “I’m aware that there’s need for us to support the Judiciary and in supporting the Judiciary we can’t only dispense justice but also make justice less complicated and more accessible… It is important that we have an efficient, independent Judiciary.”

The six judges had earlier been rejected by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
