Gov’t Invites Kenyans To Buy Affordable Housing Units In Nakuru; How to Buy

The Ministry of Lands has announced the completion of Affordable Housing units in the Bondeni area in Nakuru County, with interested Kenyans invited to purchase the units.

According to the Ministry, the units are available in either two-bedroom or three-bedroom apartments.

The prices of the two-bedroom units have been put up at Ksh3.1 million, while the three-bedroom units are being sold at Ksh4.5 million.

However, those who cannot purchase the houses at once have the option of rent-to-own.

Under the rent-to-own option, those who desire to own a two-bedroom unit will pay a monthly rent of Ksh16,997 until they clear the government’s asking price.

Buyers who prefer the three-bedroom units will be charged Ksh22,933 for rent.

According to the Ministry, there are 380 available slots for the two-bedroom units and 380 available slots for the three-bedroom ones.

Some of the amenities at the facility include an outdoor kid’s play area, a borehole, a clinic, a community hall, a restaurant and shops.

The houses also have a backup generator and cabro-paved driveways.

How to Buy

Meanwhile, interested buyers have been advised to visit the site and view the houses before they start the application process.

“Prospective purchasers are invited to visit the Bondeni housing site to view the houses and register to purchase on the Boma Yangu Portal,” read the notice in part.
