IEBC Chairman Waful Chebukati has stated that the Commission will get the initial batch of ballot papers from the designated printer on Thursday, July 7.
According to Chebukati IEBC is more prepared for the elections than before.
“IEBC has prepared for these elections more than ever before. We will ensure that we have a transparent process; we are going to give Kenyans free, fair and credible elections That is our commitment to the country,” he said in a press.Â

He continued by saying that the ballots would be stored in a secure location to prevent tampering and interference with any voting-related documents.
He continued by disbelieving rumors that some ballots would arrive from Uganda.
“Today we will receive a number of ballot papers and they are not from Uganda or some funny place, they are secure for the election, there is nothing like extra ballot papers like some politicians have claimed,” stated Chebukati.
