Billionaire KRG The Don has for has for the first time gone into depth about the source of his enormous wealth.
The musician clarified in a podcast that he is actually a billionaire and not just making jokes, as many people have been taken him to mean whenever he claims to be the richest musician in the nation.
The artist hasn’t had much success musically, but he’s been spotted traveling about in pricy automobiles and dining at upscale establishments, which has some Kenyans wondering if he’s rich.
Although he has never publicly discussed it, he was rumored to be the owner of the Casavera club on Ngong Road. Yet, rumors also stated that he is not the true owner.
But in the podcast, KRG said that his wealth only started in one month and it increased significantly in 2014.
The self-assured artist claimed that he received his grandmother’s entire estate when she passed away just one month before he was born. He also claimed that when he was born in 2014, he was awarded a contract to supply the raw materials for the construction of the SGR from Ukambani to Nairobi, a deal that brought him millions of dollars and propelled him to a mansion fit for a billionaire.
“I started life slowly, I found, like this job at SGR, I got my job there. We did that work from 2014 to 2016.
I was given a tender to bring sand and pebbles from Makindu to here, and I built all that,” KRG beat his chest.
“Fortunately again in the past, I am the one who tells my history in my whole family.
Even my father can’t speak in front of me, they calm down and I speak first then they speak. Because the inheritance of my grandfather and grandmother is all mine I was left.
Grandma died 30 days before I was born and she had blessed my mother saying that the child that will be born will be the heir of this property, which is me now in my hands.
She died in 2007 and before she died she called everyone and explained to them that I will take everything that belongs to her,” KRG added.
