According to the reports, Sonko was Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree of excellence from European Digital University in 2019.
Mike sonko become a Member of Parliament Makadara Constituency at the age of 35 years. This was the year 2010.
He also served as a Nairobi senator after he won the 2013 senatorial election. Mike Sonko become the second Governor of Nairobi county after winning the 2017 general election.
Mike Mbuvi Sonko is married to Primrose Mbuvi. Primrose is a loving woman who takes care of her family.
Mike Sonko and primrose mbuvi are blessed with 3 children, Salma, Saumu and Sandra Sonko.
While Sonko’s firstborn and last born daughters are well known to the public, the same cannot be said of Salma.
The young lad previously made headlines but has kept a low profile recently.
Six years ago, Salma Mbuvi posted a photo that elicited widespread debate online.
Salma posted a photo holding a handgun while wearing a hat with Rastafarian colours.
“She found happiness once she learnt that not everything deserves her energy some people are to just clear and to forget if they do exist,” she captioned the image.

Salma’s gun post came in the wake of her much-publicised run-in with singer Marya.
The young lady took to social media to blast the former singer, claiming that she was dating her uncle even though he was married.
She referred to the Chokoza hitmaker as a homewrecker.
