“It tastes like chicken” – Actress Lupita Nyong’o says after eating snake

Renowned actress Lupita Nyong’o has stirred up controversy on social media after eating snake flesh while in Benin.

Lupita was hesitant to taste the meat at first, despite it having already been prepared, as evidenced by a video that she shared on social media.

“You are about to witness me eat Viper for the first time in my life. I have never eaten a snake,” she said.

Lupita commented that the dinner did not appear as frightening as she had first feared as she moved to take up the platter.

“Uuuuurgh! It feels like a snake, I don’t think I can do it,” she hesitantly said as she looked at the plate.

She also commented that the roasted snake appeared to be a chicken after taking another glance at the dish.

“It tastes like a chicken,” she said adding that the texture of the viper is like chicken.

“The flesh is like chicken, but I’m not into the skin though.”

Fans of hers shared on social media that they were afraid to taste the meat and that it would be their last resort after seeing her post.

“Why did I run from my phone when you opened the bag?” a fan commented.

“My palette ain’t exquisite enough to taste that. No, thank you. I can’t be eating one of my worst fears,” another one said.

“It is a no for me, I will never be able to sleep if I do this.”
