Sultana Actress Winnie Bwire asks for financial assistance towards cancer treatment

Actress Winnie Bwire, known as Dida from ‘Sultana’, is seeking financial support for her ongoing battle with metastatic breast cancer, aiming to raise Sh7 million for overseas.

Dida shared her difficult journey and thanked everyone for their support thus far in an Instagram statement, writing:

“Isn’t it funny? How frugal life is? One minute you’re living a beautiful one, and the next, you’re facing demons you never thought you’d face in your entire lifetime.”

She emphasised the importance of community support, stating, “It takes a Village to do absolutely anything.”

The actress highlighted the urgency of the situation, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of life’s challenges.

She appealed to well-wishers, saying, “I’m coming to the only village I know, please take a moment to stand with me on this journey of recovery by donating anything you can to help me reach the required goal of 7 million shillings.

Her request for support aims to ensure that she can access the necessary medical attention overseas, which plays a pivotal role in potentially saving her life.

Actress Bwire Ndubi Advice to Kenyans

In 2022, Bwire Ndubi revealed that she was silently been battling breast Cancer.

She went ahead to advice people to take regular medical check-ups and screenings to know their health statuses and address medical issues when it’s still early.

“Please keep going for screenings even when the month of October ends. Breast cancer knows no age, colour, size nor gender. Know your body and treat it right,” she added.

“To all my warriors out there, keep fighting. Your life is yours to live. Don’t let cancer outlive you. Don’t let it ever stop you. Don’t let it eat at your brain.”

Going by the known pain and struggles of having cancer, her fans expressed dismay and admiration at her confidence and strength in making the revelation public.

Her courage in posting her bald head also sparked numerous reactions from people.

“When we went to see her a few weeks ago, she had baked cake. Cake you guys. We couldn’t tell she was sick until she removed her wig, that’s when reality hit,” commented a friend of hers.

“Keep going dear, some us draw strength from other like you….strong and beautiful,” a fan stated.

Yet another said: “You challenge me to be a better human by living your authentic self. Much love always and sending you lots of hugs, blessings and light.”
