Kenyan YouTuber Robert Ndegwa Kamau popularly referred to as Thee Pluto has revealed that he is not fine, claiming that depression is eating him up.

Taking to his Instastories, Thee Pluto pleaded with his fans to to pray for him.

“Honestly, I’m losing it. Depression is eating me slowly from inside. Pray for me,” he wrote.

The rise of Thee Pluto

Pluto gained fame by conducting random loyalty relationship tests in the streets and on campuses earning the moniker Street Sanitiser.

The 23-year-old studied at Dithida Senior High School in Kiambu county. He briefly worked as an untrained teacher before proceeding to campus.

“When I finished my KCSE, I immediately started teaching a secondary school. That is Mathematics and History,” he said as quoted by Who Owns Kenya.

The youthful YouTuber then joined Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) to study economics.

However, he was forced to defer after he impregnated a fellow student and had to fend for her and their baby. He resumed his studies and graduated on December 2, 2022.

His loyalty test clips earned him thousands of followers on social media platforms. He manages Thee Pluto Show aimed at creating fun and interactive moments with both honest and cheating couples.

The channel which was created on January 5, 2018, boasts 755,000 subscribers and over 160 million views.

Before starting content creation, he bought and sold clothes. He later landed a job at Vskit which paid him a meagre KSh 5,000. The amount was then tripled to KSh 15,000.

In an interview with Mutembei, he disclosed he made his first million aged 20.

Apart from content creation, he’s a musician producing Kikuyu songs. He also invested in the crypto business, forex and cereals.

“Wakikuyu huwa hatuongelei wealth (as Kikuyus, we don’t speak about our wealth). We count blessings so that God can add us more. I was turning 20 when I made my first million,” he recalled.
