SHOCK as Kisii man believed to have been dead and buried emerges in Nairobi

Residents of the community of Nyaboterere in Bobasi, Kisii County, are in disbelief after learning that a man they believed to be dead and buried had turned up in Nairobi.

Boda boda rider Meshack Ondabu, 28, was supposed to have been laid to rest a month ago. Nevertheless, he revealed that he is still very much alive during a video conversation. Meshack Ondabu was a boda boda rider before his presumed demise.

Ondabu mysteriously vanished, according to reports from his clan in Kisii, roughly two months ago.

The family discovered a body they believed to be his at the Nairobi City Mortuary after weeks of fruitless searching.

Even the man’s Saudi Arabia-based wife is said to have flown there to certify that the body was truly her husband’s.

Family and friends organized a fundraiser in an effort to give the alleged deceased a dignified send-off, and the body was then taken to Bobasi for burial.

After his burial, his possessions, including his clothes, were burned in accordance with Abagusii customs, and his wife returned to Saudi Arabia.

Elders who talked to Citizen Digital in response to the recent developments claim that Ondabu cannot be permitted to return to the village without first going through a rigorous ceremony.

Traditional rites will then follow, including total destruction of his home before he steps back into the village.

Currently, residents have commenced yet another funds drive to aid the exhumation of the body they buried, which will then be taken back to the Nairobi City Mortuary.

Nyamache OCPD Kipkemoi Kipkulei who confirmed the incident said they’re still waiting for direction from their colleagues in Nairobi before they give a go-ahead to the family for the body to be exhumed.
