More confusion as Jeff Mwathi’s second girlfriend emerges

It has now come to light that the late Jeff Mwathi had love ties to two women as the mystery surrounding the terrible murder of 23-year-old interior designer continues to be solved.

On February 22, 2023, hours after Jeff was reportedly found dead, his girlfriend Faith Wairimu told the media that she had been called by one of the two women who had been with DJ Fatxo and Jeff the night of the incident at the Kikuyu singer’s flat in Kasarani.

Wairimu claimed that a woman named Mutanu had called her and enquired as to her knowledge of Jeff’s whereabouts. The woman said that Jeff wasn’t at their party since they had all been drinking together.

When the woman contacted again, she kept telling Wairimu contradictory information about Jeff’s whereabouts until it became clear that he had fallen from DJ Fatxo’s apartment on the 10th floor.

Wairimu stated in later interviews with various media outlets that she would never be able to forgive those responsible for Jeff’s death.

Wairimu posts videos of her and Jeff on social media, one of which shows them toying with phone filters while lounging in bed and taking video selfies.

“Always in my mind forever in my heart,” Wairimu captioned the video dated March 13, 2023.

However, hours later after Wairimu’s last post, another woman would post videos of herself and Jeff sharing quality time.

“#RIP #ILoveYou always in my heart my love. Am sorry, hope you find justice,” the young woman by the moniker Iheart Njeri captioned the TikTok video.

The emergence of Njeri sparked diverse reactions on social media.

“Mnaeza kua wengi lkn mwenye alikaa kwa tent na mama Jeff na kuongea kwa media ndo mammaaa (You might be many lovers but the one who sat in the tent during the funera) with Jeff’s mother and spoke to the media is the one he loved),” said Tee Amor.

“Real girlfriend is the one known by mom wewe ni morio (you were just a friend) anyway justice for Jeff,” commented Valentino Maina.

“Unaforce vitu msichana (You are forcing things girl) he’s not even happy around you… tunajua mwenje alikuwa interviewed… wewe jibambe (We recognize the one who was interviewed by the media, you continue having your fun),” said Eve Chokwuon.
