Citizen TV loses another journalist after landing gov’t job
One of Citizen TV’s best journalists has left the station, which is owned by Royal Media Services (RMS), as a result of the recent exodus at the Dennis Pritt-run media complex.
According to information reaching our entertainment desk, journalist Sam Ogina discreetly quit Citizen TV around the close of the previous year.
Ogina has a new position in the National Assembly Majority Leader’s office, according to a source close to the author.
The insider revealed to this reporter that it had been almost two months since he started his new job at Parliament.
Ogina left the station late last year, but his colleagues at RMS gave him a proper send-off at a joint celebration with Francis Gachuri, who also left the station on March 2, 2023.
The final celebration was hosted in Nairobi’s Kilimani neighborhood.
Sam Ogina attended Christian liberal arts college Daystar University. Before moving on to RMS, he worked for KTN.
Gachuri, on the other hand, hung up his boots at RMS after 17 fruitful years.
On Thursday of last week, he formally left the station and began working as the Chief of Communications in the Ministry of the Interior.
Gachuri reflected on his time at the media company during his goodbye speech on the News Gang, thanking his coworkers, superiors, and audience members for their support.
