New Poll Shows Wajackoyah is Gaining More Popularity Than Ruto

If the presidential elections were held today, William Ruto, the deputy president, would see an 8% decline in his approval ratings.

According to the Infotrak poll, which was issued on Wednesday, July 6, Ruto’s support in Nairobi County was at 30%, down from 38%.

However, Raila Odinga, the opponent of Azimio la Umoja, had a 7% increase, moving from 42% in the prior survey to 49% at the moment.

With a 5% approval rating, George Wajackoyah is becoming more and more well-liked as the presidential candidate for the Roots Party. David Waihiga of the Agano Party had a popularity rating of 0.3%.

The most often cited arguments in favor of Raila among respondents were his background in development and experience. He received a 70% rating compared to Ruto’s 45%.

However, some of the responders hinted that they were backing the Deputy President because of his wise intentions for the nation. Alluding to this, Ruto scored 41 per cent as opposed to Raila’s 19 per cent.

The plurality of votes went to Raila Odinga and his running mate, Martha Karua, with 52% of the male vote to 48% of the female vote (47 per cent).

However, compared to the female gender, which received 29% of the vote, Ruto and his running mate, Rigathi Gachagua, received 30% of the male vote.
