High Court rescues Kawira Mwangaza from impending Impeachment

The High Court has stopped the impeachment motion against Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, ruling that the county MCAs did not adhere to stipulated procedures.

In its ruling, the court stated that the procedure followed was flawed hence the decision could not stand.

The verdict was issued a day after Meru Members of the County Assembly debated the motion on the house floor.

MCAs were set to debate the motion once again before voting to decide whether to retain or send home the county boss.
