Babu Owino, the Member of Parliament for Embakasi East, has offered to fund Nuru Okanga’s education through scholarship on behalf of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Okanga pledged to pass the entire Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), so he won’t have to worry about paying for his secondary education after he receives his results.
“Congratulations Nuru Okanga for passing the KCPE Exams with flying colours. I will give you a scholarship to further your secondary school Education,” Babu Owino commented.
However, neither Okanga’s KCPE results nor the MP’s statement about his communication with the ODM fanatic who took exams at Mumias Primary School in Kakamega were disclosed.
Eugene Wamalwa, the leader of the DAP-K party and former Defence Cabinet Secretary, was one of the politicians who congratulated Okanga alongside Babu.
“Congratulations, my friend Nuru Okanga for passing your KCPE exams with flying colors! We are proud of you and are the People of Western, Kakamega County, Matungu Constituency, Kholera Ward!
“Yours is an inspiring story of never being late to validate your dreams,” Wamlawa commented on his social media page, X.
Okanga became popular on social media a short while after the 2023 KCPE results were revealed, owing to claims that he received 401 points overall.
But the ODM fan made it clear that the reports were untrue and misleading, as was the index number that was tagged.
