Two women show up at mortuary to claim man who died in Juja Dam as their husband

A buddy of the man who died in Juja with a lady assumed to be his lover has revealed that he had two marriages.

Tairus Maina Gikonyo, 43, was recognized as the male passenger in the vehicle with a female companion on the evening of Tuesday, January 17.

According to a report submitted at Juja Police Station by Mwangi, identifying himself as Gikonyo’s buddy, the deceased man had two wives, one in Kahawa West and the other in Makongeni, Thika.

According to reports, two women went to the local morgue to say he was each their spouse.

Mwangi revealed that Gikonyo had two wives, one in Kahawa West and the other in Makongeni, Thika.

On the day of the accident, Mwangi said the businessman told him he was going to meet his lover.

“He only told me that he was going to meet his lover and that we’ll talk later that day,” said Mwangi.

One of the supposed wives of the businessman spoke to the media today after confirming his body at the City Mortuary.

Sarah Kiiru said her husband Tirus Maina was a businessman who dealt in various engineering machinery.

Sarah said Tirus left home for work before informing her that he would be late due to a business engagement.

She added that the last thing she asked him was what he would like to have for dinner but he did not reply.

“My husband left home for work on Monday morning, and we spoke in the evening around 7pm. He said he was in Juja for a business meeting, I asked what he would want for dinner and that was the last time we spoke,” she said.
