Singer Vivian Explains Why She is Yet To Get a Child With Husband Sam West
Fans have been asking when she will become pregnant for her spouse, Sam West, and the Kenyan female musician has responded.
The mother of one claims in an interview with Mpasho that having a kid is a personal choice.
“Having a child is a personal decision; anyone else can do anything they want with their life. It is your responsibility to love your body and your child.
You must be present, you must have sleepless nights when attending interviews, etc. I am not claiming that these are the reasons I am not having a child. It’s something you’ll need to sit down and discuss. Hata kama mtoto ni baraka, it’s merely a personal choice.”
The singer has a daughter from a previous relationship while Sam West also has a son he sired with his ex. This means the pair have a mixed family.
Her husband, Sam West, claimed that they had been under a lot of pressure to have a child.
“I came with a child from a previous relationship so did she. Everyone keeps asking us to get a child of our own. There is pressure from our family, friends and society as a whole. People tend to think that when you bring another child he/she will bring unity to the relationship,” he said.
He noted:
“The truth of the matter is that the union of a relationship depends on whether the couple wants to be together or not. A child cannot be the reason a couple is together, it only helps strengthen a union.”
