Azimio’s lawyer Paul Mwangi addresses ‘his’ signature on Form 34C

Lawyer Paul Mwangi has denied reports that he signed Form 34C, putting to rest rumours that he endorsed the August 9 presidential results.

Raila Odinga’s presidential campaign chief legal advisor affirmed that the Azimio One Kenya coalition didn’t sign the results announced by Wafula Chebukati, the Chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), on Monday, August 15.

Speculations emerged on social media after the electoral body uploaded Form 34C bearing the results of each of the presidential candidates, who took part in the August 9 election.

According to Mwangi, the name appearing on the form is not his but that of Agano party’s Chief Agent.

The lawyer shares a name with Paul Mwangi, a member of the clergy.

“The Paul Mwangi who signed the Form 34C is a clergyman who was the Chief Agent of Agano Party,” Mwangi said in a post on Twitter.
