Kericho residents gift Raila, Karua with State House Key

29 days before the general election, Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate for Azimio la Umoja, and Karua, his running mate, have received a symbolic state house key.

On July 10, Raila Odinga traveled to Kericho County, the political stronghold of his bitter opponent William Ruto, to spread the Azimio gospel.

In a video seen by Mkenyaleo.co.ke, a person from the audience who was not identified proceeded directly to the podium and gave Raila and Karua two identical keys while the audience applauded.

Raila, who is running for president for the fifth time, could be seen gleefully revealing the key that represented their anticipated triumph in the August election.

The ODM leader stated in his speech that if he won on August 9 he would build a government with all parties represented.

The former prime minister told Kericho locals that he and Deputy President William Ruto were merely rivals and not enemies.

In the same way that they supported him in the 2007 General Election, the ODM leader persuaded the locals to support him this time.

Recently, Raila Odinga received a touching image of State House Kenya during his trip of Narok county.
