The Turkish investor who was deported in 2021 due to suspicions of money laundering was present at the elegant luncheon hosted by President William Ruto at State House.

In August 2021, Harun Aydin made news when he was deported and jailed when it was discovered that he was a member of the group that was supposed to travel with Ruto to Uganda but never made it there.
