Governor Anne Waiguru Gets Sweet Birthday Surprise from Husband and Sons
Guess yesterday was whose birthday.
The iron lady of politics, Anne Waiguru, celebrated her 51st birthday yesterday.
In midst of the campaign season, which is a busy phase for politicians, the Kirinyaga County boss seemingly wanted to have a quiet celebration with her family.
She was having lunch with her husband Kamotho Waiganjo and her two sons at a hotel in Nairobi.
What she did not know was her family was planning to celebrate her birthday in a special way.
Kamotho and the boys had organized the hotel staff to ambush their mama with a birthday cake and song.
The surprise was a success, like the video, Anne shared on her social media pages today shows.
In the video, the staff and other customers are seen singing the happy birthday to a seemingly shocked Anne.
Kamotho and the boys are seen dying with laughter at how they have caught Anne off guard despite all her intelligence. They also sing along to the birthday song, mesmerized by how their mama is enjoying the surprise.
In her part, Anne reacts sweetly by exclaiming at her husband, “You!”
It is no doubt that she enjoys being appreciated by the people she loves the most.
The video ends with her appreciating the crowd for celebrating with her.
She shared the video with a caption saying, “Had some fun birthday lunch with the family yesterday.. What a blessing!”
Her followers came in large to wish the governor a happy birthday. Some were mesmerized by how she is aging like fine wine. Some ladies are already asking her to share her secret of not aging!
Her birthday comes in the wake of rumors that she might be Deputy President William Ruto’s running mate in the presidential race in the August elections. Political analysts claim that her appointment aims at countering Martha Karua, who is more likely to be Raila’s running mate.
