Motivational Speaker Sam West has advised Kenyans to practice celibacy as it comes with a lot of benefits.
Celibacy means not engaging in sexual relations for some time, or until marriage.
The former music manager and ex-husband to singer Vivian has been on this journey for two years.
In an interview with Mpasho, he shared:
“I have been celibate for two years, There is too much peace. It also helps you heal fast after a breakup.
If you break up with someone and jump into rebound relationships, it becomes difficult to heal.”
Sam stated that engaging in pre-marital Coitus makes one question their worth to themselves and God.
“Engaging in sex makes you feel impure. It also creates soul ties.
Your mind is never at peace, your emotions are affected and you end up becoming emotional for nothing.
Sometimes things happen to you and you cannot pinpoint why they are.”
The Bible says that intimacy is a spiritual mystery, hence sometimes things happen to us and we can’t explain them.”
Last year Motivational speaker, and MCee Robert Burale left tongues wagging after admitting to have been celibate for almost a decade.
Burale admitted to having been celibate since 2013.
“I have been celibate since 2013. Na mimi ni Mluhya,” he said.
However, Burale believes that sex is very important in a marriage setting, adding that he desires to one day enter the institution of marriage.
Days ago Justina Syokau of the famous ‘Twendi Twendi’ song also admitted to practicing sexual purity for the last 10 years.
“I have been alone for ten years. I can tell you it’s not easy standing outside and you have the shape and everything”
How does she ensure she does not break her vow of celibacy?
“I’m just busy When I get home I have things to do, In the morning I’m supposed to be in an office by 7, I don’t have a life. I make sure I’m busy for me to forget that thing”
