The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has replied to Junet Mohamed’s viral clip calling for a high-level meeting with the commission’s top officials in the viral video.
Juliana Cherera, vice chairperson of the IEBC, stated during a press conference on August 1 that no such meeting had been scheduled between Junet and any of their commissioners.
“As far as I am concerned there is nothing factual about it. We have our ears in the ground and people on social media who have been monitoring what has been happening. It has been shared out in the pool of experts who shall look into that,” Cherera stated.
“Let me make it categorically clear that the only information that is legitimate came from the commission through the daily press briefings and official social media handles,” she stated.
