Mathew Nyamlori’s Family Appeals for Support in Cancer Battle
Mathew Nyamlori has been moved to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi from Kisumu to receive advanced treatment for an advanced stage of gastric cancer.

Photos shared on Facebook by Okoto Nyuka revealed Nyamlori’s deteriorating condition, showing the toll cancer has taken on his health.
Okoto expressed gratitude to those who had supported Nyamlori’s chemotherapy sessions while highlighting the ongoing financial challenges.
He appealed to Kenyans for further assistance, urging contributions of any amount to help cover medical bills and medication costs.
Nyuka stated:
“We are immensely grateful to everyone who has supported him, especially during his chemotherapy sessions. May God richly replenish your pockets. However, the journey is far from over. The medical bills and cost of medicine remain overwhelming.”
Okoto also requested prayers for Nyamlori’s recovery and shared his contact number (0721816523) for financial support.
Mathew Nyamlori Family Pleads for Support
A close relative who spoke to TUKO.co.ke described the devastating impact of cancer on Nyamlori, calling it a “monster” that had drained him physically and financially.
The relative appealed to Kenyans to continue supporting him, praising his fighting spirit and urging people not to abandon him during his battle with the illness.
“Cancer is a monster. It has drained our son, but let’s not give up. Let’s keep supporting him in meeting the required bills. It is not easy. Nyamlori is a real fighter, and we can’t let him down. Kenyans, please stand with this man,” the relative pleaded.
Mathew Nyamlori’s Education Journey
Mathew Nyamlori is well-known for his extraordinary determination to attain an education, earning him the title of the “serial KCPE candidate.”
He sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams nine times due to financial hardships that prevented his family from supporting his education.
After spending 18 years in primary school, Nyamlori’s persistence paid off when he secured a Wings to Fly scholarship from Equity Bank, which enabled him to attend Nairobi School, where he excelled in his national exams.
He later pursued higher education at Kenyatta University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration.
Nyamlori’s inspiring journey continues to resonate with many Kenyans, showcasing his resilience and unwavering determination to overcome challenges.
