A 25-year-old man passed away from wounds he received after falling from an MCA candidate’s campaign truck in Trans Nzoia County.
Jacob Erika, the victim, was hanging in the politician’s car, which was on a campaign trail, when he fell off during the incident on Sunday evening in the Maziwa region, according to Kwanza OCPD James Odera.
He claimed that the man fell while clinging on the politician’s car.
Erika, according to Odera, was sent to Kitale County Referral Hospital with head injuries but passed away while receiving care there.
According to him, the victim was taken to the hospital right away after the event but passed away while receiving care.
“After the incident, the victim was rushed to hospital but died while undergoing treatment,” he told the press.
