After Jowie received a death sentence, comedian Mammito released a humorous skit that went viral.
Responses to Mammito’s parody of Jowie’s death sentence were divided. Some online users supported it, while others thought it was disgusting.
In her rendition of Dolly Parton’s Jolene, the comedian used Jowie’s name in place of Jolene.
She performed a skit using Kamiti Prison as the backdrop while she played an instrument. In Mammito’s words:
“Jowie, don’t you cry because you got a death sentence. Jowie, Jowie, Jowie, see it as an opportunity to scam us, Jowie. Jowie, when you go to prison, you will find a man that loves you so dearly. You will find your soulmate, Jowie. With your two songs, you are going to perform in the prison talent show, and you are going to kill it, Jowie.”

Mammito responded to Kenyans’ criticism of her video, sarcastically stating that Kenyans were uniting against her, expressing hope for unity over corruption and highlighting the rare occurrence of such reactions.
Mammito said:
“I have witnessed a very rare occurrence something that has not happened since 2002 people from every background uniting together for a reason, to cook me. It gives me hope for the future that one day we shall unite and fight against corruption and other things ailing our country. I am in hot fire now, my soul weeps. I am but a small, thin woman with no but**** and am not as attractive, how dare I joke about a beautiful accused person, but your unity, how it fills my soul!
