A Kenyan Twitter user identified Shad Khalif has shocked a section of Kenyans on social media after narrating his ordeal he had with a traffic police officer.
The conversation that was started by @Only1Calvin who asked Kenyans to mention legal things that appear illegal in Kenya, became more hilarious as KOT shared experiences.
“What is very LEGAL in Kenya but seems as very ILLEGAL to Kenyans ?” he tweeted.
For social media influencer Brian Mbunde, he responded that ‘Giving a cop a lift’. At this point, Shad quoted his tweet explaining how he once gave a lift to a police officer from Nyayo Stadium to Bunyala Roundabout.
According to him, he would later part with 1,000 shillings to drop the cop who accused him of using his phone while driving.
His tweet reads:
“A cop has ever asked me for a lift hapo Nyayo stadium roundabout up to the Bunyala roundabout. When I was dropping him off I had to pay him 1K because he said I was using my phone while driving (I changed music when traffic was not moving).”
Other Kenyans joined the thread with advises and reactions:

@Edwachira: One rainy day I voluntarily gave a traffic cop a lift at survey. He was going to pangani, so I again volunteered to drop him inside pangani police. When we got in, he informed I was under arrest for a small crack on the windscreen. We went to his boss, I narrated the story. The boss looked at him in dismay , reprimanded him. His colleagues even said “wewe unakuanga mtu au wewe ni mnyama?” I was released, and I never let them in my car again
