The appointment of Pauline Njoroge as a member of the Tourism Regulatory Authority has been officially revoked.

Through a gazette notice dated 9th, Tourism Cabinet Secretary (CS) Peninah Malonza revoked the appointment of blogger Pauline Njoroge, Kevin Muasya, Alais Lenana Momoi and Isaac Muchiri  Njangu into the board of Tourism Regulatory Authority.

In 2020, the appointment of Ms.Njoroge into the board was met with harsh criticism by Kenyans after her alleged Facebook post emerged.

Critics questioned how Ms.Njoroge would serve at the board whose properties she was against.

This saw the then Tourism CS Najib Balala come out publicly to revoke her appointment for PR purposes.

“I am revoking Pauline Njoroge’s appointment as a board member of Tourism Regulatory Authority because we have just seen what she had tweeted in the past that Nairobi National Park was useless,” said CS Balala.

The CS said he was not aware of Ms.Njoroge’s past views on the park and he thanked Kenyans on social media for bringing the matter up.

It has since emerged that Pauline Continued serving in the said post for the last three years despite Balala’s announcement.
