The wife of Bungoma-based preacher Eliud Wekesa, also known as Yesu wa Tongaren, Nabii Benjamin, has appealed to well-wishers and influential Kenyans to give her husband a car.

Speaking to reporters at their house, Benjamin emphasized the importance of Kenyan citizens and leaders supporting her husband’s ministry by giving him a car.

She claimed that while transportation in the present day has advanced, and while Jesus traveled by donkey in his day, it is only fair that Yesu wa Tongaren have a car to help him with his mission.

The mother of eight emphasized the difficulties her husband encounters when traveling to various regions to help the local community.

He can’t move more than a few meters without being recognized because of his fame, which makes it difficult for him to get to the market or quickly attend to the requirements of the populace.

She feels that by giving him a car, Yesu wa Tongaren would be able to carry out his ministry more successfully, reaching a wider audience and delivering aid more quickly.

“What I would like to tell our leaders is that if you read the holy bible, Jesus was visiting places while riding a donkey and right now, Yesu wa Tongaren can’t even walk a few meters to the marketplace because he is known.

But in this era, people have advanced from riding donkeys to cars. Buy him a car if you want him to serve you efficiently. That would be a great support,” she said.

Yesu and his wife, Nabii Benjamin, exploded with joy as they received this state-of-the-art device.

Mboya exuded excitement as he unboxed it and provided the religious duo with a brief tutorial on its operation.
