After inviting Tanzanian rappers to a rap duel, Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has been called out by bongo singer Harmonize.
Khaligraph was charged with disrespecting Tanzanian artists by Harmonize.
It all began when Khaligraph challenged Tanzanian artists and gave them 24 hours to answer his demand for a rap war.
He claimed that rather than Amapiano, he needed a hip-hop answer.
“Tanzanians, your rappers have 24 hours to respond. Failure to which I will launch an attack and I will take over the whole Tanzanian music industry and become the best rapper in Tanzania just like I am the best rapper in Nigerian and Kenya,” Khaligraph said in a video.
In response, Harmonize accused Khaligraph of disrespecting Tanzanian rappers and their craft.
Harmonize defended the Tanzanian rap scene, mentioning his collaboration with Khaligraph in the past and the recognition it garnered.
He expressed disappointment at Khaligraph’s disregard for Tanzanian rappers and the contributions they’ve made to his own style.
The Bongo star asserted that Tanzania boasts well-established rappers whose prowess is unparalleled.
“How I went so hard to give you the only award this year. I didn’t know you could feel that big and disrespect my brothers! You really know all your rap inspiration is from Tanzania bro. Don’t forget home !!!! Do you know weusiii?? What about your daddy County Boy… Tanzanian hip hop is another level,” Harmonize wrote on his Instastories.
