Gov’t announces over 600 job vacancies; How To Apply
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced over 600 job vacancies across various ministries and State departments.
In a notice on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, PSC notified qualified and interested Kenyans to submit applications by Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
“The details of the post and mode of application can be accessed on the Commission’s website www.publicservice.go.ke. Applications should reach the commission on or before 13th February 2024,” the Commission noted.
The advertised open positions include at least 22 slots for commissioners/secretaries administration and a deputy director, Kenya School of Adventure and Leadership in the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration.
The Immigration and Citizen Services Department is seeking to hire a secretary for Refugee Affairs, Five directors of Civil Registration Services, 17 deputy directors of Civil Registration Services and 80 assistant directors of Civil Registration Services.
The National Treasury, Livestock Department and Defence departments are also recruiting a Director of General Public Debt Management, Director of Veterinary Services and Director/Senior Research Fellow/Senior lecturer respectively.

The State Department for Correctional Services – Kenya Prisons Services seeks to hire a deputy Commissioner General of Prisons.
At least 135 director and assistant directors’ job vacancies are up for grabs in various departments under the State Department for Industry.
PSC noted that 43 positions are open in Public Service and Delivery Management.
The Labour and Skills Development department is also looking to fill 182 positions in different departments.
According to PSC, the State Department for Irrigation is seeking to fill various positions including; Secretary, Land Reclamation, Climate Resilience and Irrigation Water Management.
22 positions are also up for grabs in the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs.
167 vacancies are open for Kenyans in various departments under the Mining Ministry while the Petroleum Department is seeking to fill the position of Commissioner for Petroleum.
