Education
In 2015, Mike Mbuvi Sonko graduated from Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) with Bachelors in Business administration.
“I would like to thank my family, friends, all the great people of Nairobi whom I serve and Kenyans in general for their continued support and prayers on this long academic journey which will end in my graduation on Saturday,” said Sonko.
Celebrating his achievement, addressed the youth emphasizing the need to pursue education earlier on in life insisting that money is not everything.
“Don’t emulate me. I was the most notorious student in school because I made my first millions when I was in form 3, I thought money was everything but now look, I was forced to go back to campus almost 15 years after completing my form 4,” he advised.
Sonko also took the opportunity to address the rumors that his pursuit for tertiary education was fueled by a desire to vie for the Nairobi Governor seat.
“I’m not graduating because I want to become the Nairobi Governor. I’m not graduating because I want to please voters in Nairobi to vote for me. This is not the time to ask for elective seats or votes. This is the time to focus on service delivery to the people,” read his post.
