Despite social media “attacks,” my marriage has been successful for the past ten years, claims award-winning gospel musician Emmy Kosgei.
Kosgei, who is married to well-known Nigerian pastor Anslem Madubuko, is upset that a lot of Kenyans have implied that her marriage won’t last—especially given the couple’s 22-year age difference.
Speaking on TV47’s Morning Cafe program on Friday, January 26, Kosgei claimed that after her marriage at the time, she was constantly being harassed by Kenyans on social media.
“I got married 10 years ago and but those social media people kept saying we’ll divorce after on month. 10 years later I can say marriage works,” she says.
Kenyan gospel artist Emmy Kosgei has been married to Nigerian pastor Anslem Madubuko for ten years now.
At first, Kenyans were skeptical of their union, anticipating an things to go south one month to their wedding.
She also rued the fact that some Kenyans trolled her for marrying a man 22 years older than her for selfish/material reasons.
“Marriage works,” she says, adding that people should not celebrate people failing in marriage, rather they should support them.
