“Pesa Haijawai Niweka Kiburi” Amber Ray reveals How She Spent Her First Salary
Before I go into this article, let’s agree that money is sweet.
We all dreamed of how we would spend our first salary even before we got employed. For most of us, we thought of buying shoes, spoiling our siblings, and buying clothes.
Personally, I dreamed of buying my mom her favorite handbag (I can’t remember the brand)
Controversial socialist Amber Ray had an interesting plan.
Speaking at Oga Obinna’s First Time, Amber revealed that she had been wishing to eat the town roasted chicken (You know those that roll in a machine) and chips. She claimed that she came from a humble background where she could not afford to buy the eateries, and the only option she had then was to salivate.
God is good. She got a waitress job that paid her Kshs 13k, which was then a lot of money, by the way!
Now guess what she did when she was first paid? You guessed right!
The mother of one claimed that she used her first salary to buy herself the chicken and chips she salivated for all those years. She told Obinna that she used to buy herself a quarter chicken and eat it all by herself.
“Nakula kuku quarter na chips pekee yangu, whether is asubuhi ama mchana,” she hilariously explained.
She claimed she ate the chips and chicken for days until she could not eat anymore. To date, she does not even crave the chips.
Amber went on to explain that she started earning more because she worked hard to get tips that could pay her bills without touching her main salary.
She also revealed that the highest amount of cash she has ever laid her hands upon was Kshs 6million.
On being asked whether such an amount of money made her feel superior, she claimed that no amount of money has ever made her have pride because she understands her poor background.
Mimi pesa haijwai nipea kiburi,” she stated.
According to her, she used the money to help her parents back at home and pamper herself.
Amber is currently one of the Kenyan socialites who leads an expensive lifestyle. The damsel owns several businesses in Nairobi, with her record label being the latest.
