Sallam SK, Diamond Platnumz’s manager, has revealed how much money Diamond receives for each performance.
SK revealed how much he gets paid for each show when he appeared on the Jana na Leo show on Wasafi FM on Wednesday. He said that the artist will be doing a series of shows beginning in May of this year.
“Diamond’s show payment is well known. It depends, but it is not less than a hundred thousand dollars [Kenyan Shillings 14.3 million],” he said.
The manager, who is also the owner of a radio station, stated that it is justified considering the magnitude of Diamond and the entire team he brings on stage.
“Taking a small amount is impossible because you know when it comes to costs, you have climbed onto the stage with 20-30 people, and then you say you are doing a show for 10 million [Tanzanian Shillings], what are you paying the others?” he asked.
“If you are building a high-quality stage for 200 million shillings, why should an artist who is going to climb the stage not be paid 200 million as well?
So it’s not just about the entrance fee at the door, there is more need there that when a person climbs onto that stage, he is a brand.
If he climbs up, what needs to be done? That’s why you see there is business on television. So we need to know exactly how to do the market so that the artist can grow,” SK emphasized.
