Former Chief Justice David Maraga has distanced himself from a tweet affirming William Ruto’s victory in the elections on August 9.
In the tweet, Maraga was quoted as saying that William Ruto should take the oath of office on August 30 because “he won fairly and squarely” in the recently held general election.
Maraga stated on Twitter that the aforementioned tweet was a hoax and urged Kenyans to disregard it.
