IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati on Friday will lead the six commissioners in paying their last respect to the late Returning Officer for Embakasi East Daniel Musyoka.
It is expected that vice chairperson Juliana Cherera and commissioners Abdi Guliye, Boya Molu, Justus Nyang’aya, Irene Masit and Francis Wanderi will be in attendance.
According to IEBC, the commission including its staff will meet at 9:00 am at the Montezuma Funeral Home in Machakos then proceed to Muuani Village , Muthetheni ward , Mwala sub county for the burial.
Musyoka went missing on August 11 at 9:45 am and his body was found four days later at Mariko in Loitoktok, Kajiado County.
Chebukati called for a speedy probe into the murder and charging of those involved.
As a result, Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji directed the Inspector General of Police Hilary Mutyambai to undertake comprehensive investigations into the murder of the IEBC Returning Officer.
