Former KTN News anchor Betty Kyalo revealed her Kilimani salon items have been put up for auction by Keysian Auctioneers after she failed to settle rent arrears, citing difficulties in running the business amidst a challenging economy.
“Obviously running a business in Kenya has become so difficult,” she revealed.
“Landlords don’t want to reduce rent and it becomes a huge burden on businesses that are struggling because of the economic slowdown. I let it go.”
She further revealed that a new barber shop she opened at Upper Hill begins its operations today.
“I am happier. I sleep better. My peace of mind is more important than a name. I’m good,” the former news anchor added.
“Also after two months of expansion, we reopen Aftershave by Flair, Upper Hill, La Baita. Gentlemen come through. I will be there today.”
