Francis Atwoli, the secretary general of COTU, has advised the Luhya people not to support Wiliam Ruto in the August 9 presidential election.
While speaking at Kakamega, on Wednesday, Atwoli said the DP had abused his officer by bei ng involved in corruption.
“The reason for this is, as a DP he is already a top government official. Yet he abused his office, and called an officer below him to have him award government tenders to specific persons,” he claimed.
“Raila’s win will save my life because if Ruto wins, I will not have peace.”
Atwoli added that it was incorrect for the UDA leader to blame the 2018 handshake on the high cost of living
He continued by saying that he was in charge of Charles Keter’s nomination as the previous Energy CS, who is responsible for high prices of fuel.
Atwoli also took a swipe at Mudavadi, saying: “He has been saying people should not vote for Raila, inciting Luhyas against him. Without Raila, Musalia would not be known.”
