The mzungu man who replaced Nelly Oaks has now been identified by Akothee the boss lady after weeks of hearsay and conjecture.
With a video of the two having fun at the beach along the coast, the singer unveiled the mysterious man on Instagram. The man could be seen playfully pulling Akothee from the back in the romantic video as the couple chased one other around in the white sand.
Akothee says in the caption that their agreement was for her to accept him if he can take her out, which he did. Internet users were astounded by how simple it was for Akothee to escape the singles club when most of them had been imprisoned inside for years. It’s only been a few months since Akothee became single.
Akothee shocked her followers three months ago when she wrote a lengthy Instagram breakup message to her ex-boyfriend Nelly Oaks.
“I have walked out of other relationships with different ups & downs, so this last one shouldn’t be a shock or a surprise. It’s just a personal decision, I need time to concentrate on my new Found happiness with less destruction, I need to work on myself and my career, I am not ready for any commitment, questions, or answers to what transpired just didn’t want to hurt anyone. but sorry it is what it is,” she wrote on Instagram.
In the caption, Akothee indicates that they had a deal that she will say yes to him if he manages to take her down which he did. Netizens have been left amazed with how easy it was for Akothee to leave the singles club while most have been trapped there for years. Akothee has only been single for a few months.
The boss lady also wished Nelly Oaks luck and added that she still had the utmost respect for him because of their familial ties.
“Me and Mr. N have a family Relationship back in Rongo. For that matter let’s respect family and keep family RESPECT, He is not someone I just picked on the streets. So for that matter Wishing All of you the best of life, she added.
The singer continued by admitting that she had mentally distanced herself from Nelly Oaks for a full six months before to their official breakup. After her MCSK encounter with Ezekiel Mutua, Akothee spoke up to the Presenter Ali YouTube channel about how she felt like her relationship had ended since December 2021.
“I would never announce a break-up if I’ve not walked through it. Even the biggest of the biggest celebrities out there struggle with relationships… actually, according to me I had walked out of the relationship back in December.”
Akothee revealed that the message she received from Nelly Oaks in April was a hoax intended to celebrate April Fools’ Day. But little did her supporters or Nelly Oaks himself realize that the joke might have been Akothee’s method of expressing how she felt about their romance.
