“Niko na 500 pekee” – Goliath Wa Bungoma stranded in Nairobi, begs for help
In a deeply emotional video, Isaac Otesa aka Goliath Wa Bungoma has laid bare the challenges he is facing while stranded in Nairobi.
The video, which has since gone viral, highlights the dire situation he is in, including being unable to afford fare back to his rural home in Western Kenya.
Otesa, who recently reached out for assistance from former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, shared that he has only KSh 500 left—far below the amount required for travel.
His plea underscores the struggles many face in Kenya’s bustling capital when circumstances take a difficult turn.
Compounding his struggles, Otesa revealed that his host had asked him to leave, as the host’s wife had moved in. This development left him homeless and without a place to sleep.
“My host’s wife has come, so I can’t continue staying there,” he explained in the video.
Earlier, Otesa had attended an interview on Obinna’s show, hoping to find support or an opportunity. However, he was left stranded after the comedian allegedly excused himself, stating he had exams to attend.
“I went to Obinna’s show for an interview, but after the interview, he left me, saying he was going for exams,” Otesa narrated.
With his phone displaying the time as 11:23 pm, Otesa emphasized the urgency of his situation.
“I am stranded in town. I have tried calling Geoffrey Mosiria, but his phone is not going through. None of those who pledged support have helped me,” he lamented.
Otesa’s heartfelt plea is a stark reminder of the challenges faced by many navigating life in Nairobi, especially those without stable shelter or resources.
He expressed hope that someone close to Geoffrey Mosiria or another kind-hearted individual could come to his aid.
As his story circulates, many are rallying behind him, advocating for immediate intervention to ensure his safety and well-being.
The situation highlights the importance of a robust support system for vulnerable individuals in urban areas.
