Popular musician Peter Mwangi, famously known as Miracle Baby, has officially announced the end of his relationship with vernacular artist and digital content creator Carol Katrue.
The news, revealed late Friday night, shocked fans who had followed their eventful relationship over the years.
In separate social media posts, the former couple confirmed their split and clarified that they are no longer professionally or personally connected.
“For anyone who was calling me to book for Carol Katrue we are no longer together!!! Thank You,” Miracle Baby shared on Instagram.
Katrue echoed the sentiment, declaring her single status and inviting inquiries about her work to be directed to her personally.
“Single!!! For bookings dm me kindly am not working with anyone or under anyone,” she posted.

A Relationship That Overcame Many Challenges
The breakup has left fans stunned, particularly given the challenges the pair had overcome. Earlier this year, Katrue stood by Miracle Baby’s side as he battled a severe stomach condition that nearly claimed his life.
The musician’s health troubles began in January 2024 when his intestines ruptured, requiring multiple surgeries. Between January and March, he underwent at least four procedures to address the condition.
Katrue rallied support from Kenyans to help cover the skyrocketing medical bills, which amounted to millions of shillings. Her dedication during this difficult period earned admiration from fans and strengthened their bond—or so it seemed.
The couple, who had been together for at least three years, share a child born on February 18, 2023. Miracle Baby, however, has four other children from previous relationships.
The Dream of a Big Family
Before their split, Katrue had publicly expressed her commitment to helping Miracle Baby achieve his dream of having at least 17 children. In a June 2023 Instagram post, she joked about her willingness to bear more children for him.
“Ntakuzalia mpaka washangae @petermiraclebaby,” Katrue wrote.
Miracle Baby’s ambition to father 17 children has been a recurring theme in his interviews. During an October 2020 appearance on Mambo Mseto with Mzazi Willy M Tuva, he shared his vision for a large family, revealing that he already had four children with different women at the time.
One of his children, he disclosed, was abandoned at his doorstep in a basin. He decided to care for the child, suspecting that he was the father due to their resemblance.
“Nko na watoto wanne but mmoja nilimpata hapa nje kejani kwangu akiwa ametupwa. Alikua ametupwa hapa nje na karai so nikahave kumchukua. Nampenda tu kama mtoto wangu but kuna venye tunafanana, sijui kama kuna place nilienda na siambiwi,” Miracle Baby explained.
Despite having children with multiple women, he stated that his desire for 17 children was why he couldn’t settle with one partner.
“Kwa nini usisettle na mmoja?” Mzazi asked during the interview.
“Sahi ni ngori coz natakanga watoi 17 ama 16. Hakuna mwenye anakubali ati alete wote duniani wakiwa wote,” he responded.
A Surprising End
The end of Miracle Baby and Katrue’s relationship comes as a surprise to many, given the strength they displayed during life’s toughest moments. Fans are left to speculate about what could have led to their separation despite their shared history and ambitions.
