Police are searching for a man in Changamwe, Mombasa County, who they believe killed his daughter, 24, on Saturday night by stabbing her.
Authorities say the man was stabbed multiple times in the stomach and chest while fighting with his wife, and that’s when their daughter intervened to separate them.
Neighbors who arrived at the scene rushed the woman to the Portreitz hospital. She was transferred to the Coast General Hospital where she died while receiving treatment.
Police are in search of the man identified as Simon Mumbi, who escaped after the incident.
The woman’s body is kept in the Coast General Hospital mortuary.
