After years of a bad-blood relationship on social media, Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o and radio host turned YouTuber Andrew Kibe finally re-united in one of Kibe’s show.
Jalang’o was interviewed by Kibe on his YouTube channel, but it didn’t take long for the underlying issues between them to come to light and force them to address them.
After Kibe left Kiss FM in 2020 and the comedian was hired to take his place, the two performers have not been close.
Since then, the two have traded insults, and Jalas once claimed that Kibe was lazy and supported herself as a home caretaker in the US.
Jalang’o asked:
“Wewe Kibe nilikufanyia nini (What did I do to deserve this?)” during the interview to draw attention to the issue at hand.
The YouTuber then said that he had mocked the MP when rumors spread on social media that he had lost his seat as the Lang’ata MP in the general election of 2022.
“Do you why I said what I said, it is because you had hated on me and you had said something that was not true,” Kibe said, referring to a video in which Jalang’o dismissed him as an idle caregiver in the US.
Jalango replied, saying:
“You can’t just wake up one day and start saying whatever nasty things and tagging me in them. What I said was only a little retaliation, I didn’t know you caught feelings,” Jalango defended.
The YouTuber reminded Jalas that he had protected him against claims that he had ties to Nairobi’s “wash wash” cartels.
Kibe was forced to return to the interview’s purpose after the Lang’ata MP called him out for straying from it.
Jalang’o defended his decision to back President William Ruto while admitting that he still had loyalty to Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja.
He claimed that President Ruto had persuaded him that he was on course to fulfill his commitment to Kenya’s economic revival.
Jalang’o assured Kibe that despite the difficult times ahead, Kenyans would see the benefits of the strategy in a year.
Jalas said that politics had consumed a lot of his time, leaving him with little time for anything else.
Jalang’o – Kibe collaboration
At the conclusion of the interview, Kibe acknowledged his respect for Jalang’o’s professional development, and the two decided to collaborate on a community project for one of the Lang’ata schools.
Kibe suggested to the MP that the two should be collaborate to rehabilitate Langata West Primary School toilets.
“I want us to work together in fixing the projects at Langata West Primary School toilets; is that something we can do together?” Kibe asked.
Jalas was in agreement, stating that they would name the toilets as Andrew Kibe.
“Of course Yes. That one I will really appreciate. Alafu hizo choo tutaziita Andrew Kibe, sababu wewe saa zingine huongea matope,” Jalas said.
