As members of the Azimio Coalition Party protested outside the Nairobi offices of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), police fired tear gas into the air on Monday.
Even as police ordered the leaders to scatter their followers before they could meet with the electoral body, some MPs were caught up in the ensuing brawl.
The leaders of Azimio are denouncing the commission’s alleged witch hunt against IEBC deputy CEO Ruth Kulundu.

The leaders of Azimio want Kulundu to return to her position while also accusing the IEBC of targeting officials who are seen as friendly to the party.
